What is the name of that flower you saw in a garden last year? How do you create the impression of a meadow inside a room? How many different kinds of foliage are there? Should a bouquet be bold and striking or delicate and airy? Quirky? Strong? Romantic? Of course, you don't need to worry! This is where we can help. Here are some more questions you may be asking.

  • The Flower Story specialises in beautiful weddings across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, London, The Cotswolds and throughout the UK.

  • The Flower Story works with fresh flowers to create stunning arrangements that are perfect for your day. Whether that is a statement flower filled arch, natural scooped up wedding bouquets or delicate bud vases full of flowers we work with you to bring a vision to life. We also have a large supply of candlesticks, lanterns and tea lights to give a romantic finishing touch to your wedding day.

  • Once you have booked your venue it is a good time to start thinking about your wedding flowers. We tend to take bookings one year in advance and are currently taking bookings for 2026 and 2027.

  • Not at all. We will guide you through flowers that are in season, that will work with your style and, most importantly enhance the feel you want to create on your day. Flowers are our passion and we are always excited to share our knowledge and love of them with you!

  • The cost of your wedding flowers really depends how flowery you want your day to be, what time of year your wedding is taking place and how many flowers we use. Larger statement arrangements like a milk churn or a flower arch use a lot of flowers and so have a higher price than smaller bud vase pieces which use fewer flowers. Following your consultation you will receive a quote which will give you a detailed breakdown of each item.

  • Booking The Flower Story for your wedding flowers is really simple. The first step is to get in touch and check we are available for your day. Fill in the enquiry form. Think about the feeling you want to create, or the look – or, perhaps, just the colours that you like. Anything you send us will help to create a flower story just for you. We will then get in touch to arrange your consultation.

  • Your wedding flower consultation can take place online or at our studio near Buckingham. During this 45-minute session, we will talk about how we can work together and your plans for the day. Perhaps you have a story to tell or a special request. We will take the first steps in designing your flowers. After our meeting, we will work up a proposal and a quote. You will receive details of the flowers and designs, including some images to give you an idea of how it will all come together. You might also be offered a couple of different options. If you like what you see and would like to work together, you just need to pay a retainer and we’ll put your date in the diary.

  • In the months before your day we refine your wedding flowers. Your proposal might be perfect as it is – or over the weeks or months before your wedding, you might want to make a few adjustments. We might tweak some flower choices or re-design a space. Once you are happy with everything, we will draw up an invoice and contract.

  • We ask for your balance to be paid four weeks before your wedding day. You can add extra flowery pieces up until one week before your day.

  • Before your wedding day, you will receive a delivery and installation schedule so you know exactly what is happening. On the day, you probably won’t notice The Flower Story team. We will be quietly hanging installations, delivering bouquets or laying out a luxurious table setting. We stay on site until everything is just the way you imagined it.

  • You are more than welcome to take away all the flowers from your day or give them to your favourite guests. We want your flowers to be loved, re-homed and re-used.

  • The Flower Story has worked in many prestigious venues and private homes across the UK. These include Tythe, Caswell House, Hedsor House, Notley Abbey, Clivedon, Stratton Court Barn, The Mandarin Oriental, Nobu, Huntsmill Farm, Cripps Barn and many more

  • As a creative business owner working with natural materials, the vision for The Flower Story is one of beauty and sustainability. All our work is eco – friendly and we don’t use floral foam or single-use plastics. Everything we

    use can be recycled, composted or re-used. We work with local flower farmers and specialist growers in Holland to bring the most perfect seasonal flowers to your wedding day.

  • We have a minimum spend of £1500 for every bespoke wedding. If you are having a smaller wedding and don’t need a bespoke approach then The Flower Story Edit might be the route for you. There is a £250 minimum spend for this approach.
