Emily and Luke's flower story

Emily and Luke's mid summer wedding was all about a relaxed celebration of love with their family.  Emily and her mum came to me with a clear idea of a look and feel they wanted. Their wedding was going to be natural and reflect the countryside setting of Chicheley Hall. And the flowers had to tie in with this.

The star of the show was going to be Emily's bouquet. We decided upon a large freeform bouquet with lots of texture and a loose 'scooped up' feeling to it.  The flowers wouldn't be too 'designed' or perfect. Trailing silk ribbons finished off the bouquet beautifully.

Emily's colour palette was tonal peaches and creams.  With these we added a little pop of colour with a touch of lilac. Flowers in July are some of the prettiest of the year and it's always hard to choose with such a wonderful choice.  We settled on beautiful 'Juliet' garden roses, peonies, scabiosa, larkspur and daisies with lots of foliage and berries.

Emily and Luke's photos of their day are gorgeous.  I love the way they both look so happy. And on their day the sun shone, just for them.
